The OPERATIONS WITH POLYNOMIALS WORKBOOK is intended for Algebra 2 students to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing polynomials by long division. However, driven Algebra 1 students can do the difficult problems in this workbook if they are willing to put in the time and effort to study and understand the computational techniques of the examples for these problems. Note: This workbook does not contain any word or application problems. This workbook contains example problems with step-by-step solutions at the beginning of each section. Students should study these examples before starting the problems for each section. This workbook also includes step-by-step solutions for all problems for each section that students should use to check their work and correct any mistakes that were made.Students should minimize the use of a calculator when they do problems in this workbook so they can improve their computational skills.This workbook contains a total of 286 problems (excluding example problems).Section 1 begins with a review of the definition of a polynomial and contains problems for students to determine if an expression is or is not a polynomial. Additionally, this section contains problems where students determine the degree of a polynomial, classify a polynomial by degree, and classify a polynomial by the number of terms.
